Il presente articolo descrive una femmina di Astore nidificante nel primo anno di vita in provincia di Alessandria, durante la stagione riproduttiva 2015. In Italia, non vi sono molte pubblicazioni su questo tipo di strategia riproduttiva a causa della mancanza di studi sui modelli di nidificazione della specie. Secondo Krüger (2005) e Nielsen and Drachmann (2003), nel nord-est dell’Europa molte femmine iniziano a nidificare al primo anno, generalmente con un minore successo riproduttivo, che sembrerebbe essere conseguente ad un periodo di crescita della popolazione.
