Size and characteristics of a colony of Pallid Swift, Apus pallidus

Abstract
A Pallid Swift colony within a medieval tower along the coast of Tuscany has been studied for five years; possible factors inducing a slight increase of the colony are presented along with a description of the peculiar nest-building technique.
