Semiquantitative information about geographical and altitudinal distribution of common breeding birds as well as information about their trend has been gathered in Tuscany through point-counts in the years 1984-85 and since 2000 onward. For some species, population size, differing even markedly from the previous ones, has been estimated on a statistical basis.
