The Venetian folders of the Natural History Museum in Milan

One hundred and eighty years ago, on 7 May 1838, the donation of the collections of Giuseppe De Cristoforis and Giorgio Jan, which included minerals, fossils, zoological and botanical specimens, as well as instruments and books, was accepted by the Milan municipal authority. The Milan Natural History Museum was born, yesterday as today, the museum of the Milanese.
